4. 'Huge problem': Iranian drones pose new threat to Ukraine - A little over a week ago Iranian drones started to appear in the skies over Ukraine. A junior sergeant with the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that the drones flew from Crimea to attack her special forces unit fighting near the southern city of Kherson. The drones evaded the soldiers' defenses and dropped bombs on their position, destroying two tanks with their crews inside. Politico

5. Far right Sweden Democrats poised to wield influence in new government - The leader of Sweden's third largest party, the centre-right Moderates, has been asked to form a government that could include the far-right, populist Sweden Democrats. In the election that took place in Sweden on 11 September, the country's four centre-right and far-right parties won 176 seats, while the centre-left coalition got 173 seats. There is options for different centre-right constellations but it seems clear that the Sweden Democrats will have significant leverage in any centre-right government. The populist party has tried to move toward the mainstream in recent years, standing this year on a platform of cracking down on crime and strictly limiting immigration. The Guardian

Tears, hugs and glory as Roger Federer finally bows out from tennis - During the final week of Roger Federer's life as a professional tennis player, he handled his emotions very well but after his final match the 41-year-old finally succumbed. Both Federer and his rival Rafael Nadal had tears falling down their cheeks. The rivalry has always been professional and friendly, but Federer and Nadal have over time become increasingly close. The circumstances of Federer's retirement, forced by the chronic knee injury that left him in rehab for most of his last three seasons and which created uncertainty about whether he would even be able to manage one last doubles match, were far from ideal. A truck collision turns a Florida highway into a silver sea of beer cans - A Florida highway had to temporarily close Wednesday after a semitrailer carrying cases of Coors Light crashed and turned the roadway into a silver sea of beer cans. The multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes on Interstate 75 about 30 miles north of Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release. The pileup began when one semitrailer clipped another while changing lanes, officials said. That forced other semis to brake, but one failed to stop and collided with a pickup truck and another one of the stopping semis. NPR

Post Malone bruised ribs after falling in hole on stage - Rapper Post Malone bruised his ribs when he fell through a hole on stage during a performance in St. Louis over the weekend, his manager said. The rapper was performing at the Enterprise Center downtown on Saturday when he fell mid-song. His manager, Dre London, shared a post Sunday revealing Post Malone bruised his ribs in the fall and is on the mend. NBC News

10. 15 dead, 24 wounded in school shooting in Russia - A gunman opened fire in a school in central Russia on Monday, killing 15 people and wounding 24 others before shooting himself dead, authorities said. The shooting took place in School No. 88 in Izhevsk, a city 960 kilometers east of Moscow in the Udmurtia region. 15 people, including 11 children, were killed in the shooting, and 24 other people, including 22 children, were wounded in the attack. The governor of Udmurtia said the gunman, who he said was registered as a patient at a psychiatric facility, killed himself after the attack. ABC News

11. Margot Robbie looks distressed after leaving Cara Delevingne's house - Actress Margot Robbie appeared upset just hours after leaving the home of her close friend Cara Delevingne. The British supermodel continues to spark health concerns with a series of disheveled public appearances. Robbie could be seen holding her hand up to her face, and appeared to be emotional. Further details of what happened inside of the property have not emerged. Delevingne's loved ones have also reportedly voiced worries. Dailymail

12. Simone Biles Becomes Youngest Person to Receive Presidential Medal of Freedom - The Olympic champion was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Joe Biden on July 7. And while Simone has made history before by becoming the most decorated American gymnast of all time, the 25-year-old just made history once again by becoming the youngest person ever to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Simone noted that it is a "huge honor" to accomplish so early on. Simone was selected to receive the Nation's highest civilian honor amongst 16 other individuals for her history-making accomplishments in gymnastics, as well as her advocacy work for the mental health and safety for athletes. EOnline

Two missing after massive sinkholes open up in Guatemala - Three people were injured and two went missing after two sinkholes opened up on a street south of the country's capital on September 24, according to Reuters. Three people were injured when their vehicle fell into one of the sinkholes, but they were pulled out later. Sinkholes can be deadly but common in Guatemala City and often happens without warning. CNN

14. Brown's Myles Garret hospitalized following single-car crash after practice - Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in a single-car crash after leaving practice on Monday. Garret suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the single vehicle, rollover, injury crash in Sharon Township. A female passenger was also in the car and taken with Garrett to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as well. FOX News

15. Wreck at 82-North Washington intersection kills one, injures four - A Stamps driver died and four people were hurt when two vehicles collided just north of Wilkins Stadium as the Southern Arkansas-Henderson State football game was ending. Emergency vehicles worked their way around people and vehicles streaming out of the stadium. The Watson vehicle hit the Fuller car on the driver's side and Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene. Magnolia Reporter
